An apology from Liam Lawson for his part in an incident-strewn Formula One Grand Prix in Qatar

The New Zealand driver went wheel to wheel with Valterri Botas on lap five - and lost control of his car to drop from 14th to 18th.

He managed to get back on track to finish 14th - one spot behind team-mate Yuki Tsunoda.

There were three separate yellow flag safety car periods - five drivers failed to finish.

Max Verstappen claimed victory, with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc second and McLaren's Oscar Piastri third.
