A decline in most dairy prices at this morning's latest Global Dairy Trade auction

A decline in most dairy prices at this morning's latest Global Dairy Trade auction

The price of skim milk powder is down 1-percent, the price of butter is down 5.2, and most other categories have also dropped.

Overall prices are up 1.2 percent, mostly due to a 4.1 percent rise in the price of whole milk powder.

High Ground Dairy analyst Stu Davison says the result would be worse, if China didn't have a supply shortfall.

He says buyers are a little bit hesitant to buy at these prices, except for China and whole milk powder.
