    A podium finish for Kiwi triathlete Hayden Wilde in his first Ironman World Championship event in Taupo


    The Olympic silver medallist has placed second behind Belgian Jelle Geens with a time of three hours, 33 minutes and 22 seconds.

    Wilde admits he was a little naive.



    Fellow New Zealander Kyle Smith has placed fourth.
