The search continues for a 19-year old in Wellington, who's been missing since Saturday night

The search continues for a 19-year old in Wellington, who's been missing since Saturday night

Maia Johnston failed to return home from a walk after a Christmas drinks in Upper Hutt's Totara Park.

Her family reported her missing, after realising the teen, who's completely unfamiliar with the area, left without her phone or wallet.

Mother Amy Walsh told our newsroom up to 100 locals joined the search yesterday after seeing her post.

She says it seems impossible, that no one has seen her.

Police are asking locals to check CCTV cameras for any sightings of her on Saturday night after 8pm.
