Holiday greetings from Christchurch's Mayor, to those in the Garden City

Holiday greetings from Christchurch's Mayor, to those in the Garden City

Phil Mauger is wishing Cantabrians a Merry Christmas and holiday period.

He asks those leaving Christchurch to travel safe, and look after themselves over the summer period.

Mauger 's also reflecting on 2024, saying highlight was settling the 85-million-dollar insurance claim for Bromley's Wastewater Treatment Plant.

It's provided a path forward to end the stench plaguing much of the east since 2021, caused by two fire-damaged trickling filters.
