    One prisoner's in a serious condition, after they lit a fire in a cell at Spring Hill Corrections Facility in the Waikato, this afternoon


    Spring Hill Acting General Manager Alan Lamb says at around 4.45pm, sprinkler systems were activated and extinguished a fire in a prisoner's cell.

    He says they suffered smoke inhalation, so were taken to Waikato Hospital by an ambulance.

    Lamb says the prisoner will face internal misconduct charges.
