SailGP's New Zealand Grand Prix in Auckland could signal a turn for hospitality venues on Wynyard Quarter

SailGP's New Zealand Grand Prix in Auckland could signal a turn for hospitality venues on Wynyard Quarter

Its a busy weekend for the city of sails, with Auckland FC also set to play Melbourne City tonight - and Luke Combs performing his second night at Eden Park.

The Grand Prix this weekend follows months of frustration from local businesses caused by closures of the crucial Wynyard Crossing Bridge.

Wynyard Pavilion General Manager Alex Pearson says all businesses in the area are excited to see a boost in foot traffic.

He says its time to leave the past in the past - and look to the future.
