Discussions have already begun on future events - after SailGP fans packed out Auckland's waterfront

Discussions have already begun on future events - after SailGP fans packed out Auckland's waterfront

More than 25-thousand spectators turned out yesterday and Saturday.

Auckland also hosted two Luke Combs concerts and an Auckland FC match - funnelling fans of both stripes into hospitality venues citywide.

Auckland Unlimited Chief Executive, Nick Hill, says the main problem is securing funding for future events.

He says they've been really struggling in Auckland since the Covid-19 pandemic.
