Former Green MP Golriz Ghahraman says she's relieved Police are NOT laying charges over an incident at an Auckland supermarket last year

Former Green MP Golriz Ghahraman says she's relieved Police are NOT laying charges over an incident at an Auckland supermarket last year

Foodstuffs didn't report the incident, but Police say they gained knowledge of it through retail crime technology.

Police say they consulted with the Royal Oak Pak-N-Save on the decision, and specify an item taken was worth less than 40 dollars.

Ghahraman's told our newsroom she's relieved Police came to the right decision - and she's happy to be moving on.

Last year, she pleaded guilty to four unrelated shoplifting offences.
