Racing fans can expect a big afternoon at the races for this year's Karaka Millions in Auckland

Racing fans can expect a big afternoon at the races for this year's Karaka Millions in Auckland

Over five-million-dollars in stakes will be on offer when the horses take to Ellerslie Racecourse.

This year also marks the first time the meeting is part of Hong Kong Jockey Club's World Pool, bringing more top international talent.

Auckland Thoroughbred Racing chief executive Paul Wilcox says they're also anticipating a big turnover this year.

He says turnover for 2024's meeting was nine-point-five million dollars, and the addition of World Pool this year is expected to blow that out of the water.
