The immediate playing future of White Ferns skipper Sophie Devine is up in the air

New Zealand Cricket have issued a statement saying Devine's received professional advice and decided to take a break from the game to prioritise her well-being.

The national body say a call on her playing future will be announced in due course.

Devine also took a two-month mental health break in 2021.
