Light appears to be returning to the job market, as the number of filled jobs increases

New Stats NZ data shows the number of seasonally adjusted filled jobs in December, rose 0.1 percent compared to the month before, to 2.36 million.

Year-on-year the construction and administrative industries had the biggest changes.

JMI Wealth Director Andrew Kelleher says says it's been two consecutive months of improvement after a cumulative fall throughout the year.

He says it isn't a rebound -- but more of a flattening in the market.
