Belief the Government could be doing an awful lot more to attract domestic dollars

It's invited about 100 business leaders to a two-day summit next month - in the hope of drawing out foreign investment in local projects and industries.

But Simplicity Chief Executive Sam Stubbs says the size of the prize domestically, from the likes of Kiwisaver managers, could be much bigger.

He says we've come a long way from the 90's and have a lot more money saved up closer to home.

Stubbs says many local managers want to invest domestically - but don't know what to invest in - so we should be trying to incentivise this.
