The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has reportedly implemented heightened security measures for this year's awards ceremony

Bosses are said to have thrown a "ring of steel" around the event at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (16.02.25) following a stage invasion during the 2024 BATFAs

It saw a social media prankster infiltrate the stage during the 'Oppenheimer' team's acceptance of the Best Film award.

The individual stood behind actor Cillian Murphy, 48, and director Christopher Nolan, 54, as producer Emma Thomas, 53, delivered her speech.

BAFTA stated at the time: "A social media prankster was removed by security last night after joining the winners of the final award on stage - we are taking this very seriously, and don't wish to grant him any publicity by commenting further."

In response to the incident, BAFTA has enlisted additional security personnel and implemented rigorous checks for all attendees, including VIPs, according to the Daily Mail.

David Tennant, 53, is serving as host at this year's event, which has see Pope-election thriller 'Conclave' leading with 12 nominations, followed closely by 'Emilia Pérez' with 11.

The red carpet has already been packed with established and emerging talent.

Ariana Grande, 31, known for her role in 'Wicked', arrived in a plunging pink and black gown, with her co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38, appearing in a white floral dress featuring a structured chest piece extending to her neck.

Television presenter AJ Odudu, 37, wore a white dress with a thigh-high split, while Jeff Goldblum, 72, accompanied by his wife Emilie Livingston, 42, maintained his signature dapper style.

Actor James Norton, 39, opted for a traditional black suit, while 'A Complete Unknown' star Monica Barbaro, 34, sparkled in a shoulderless, gem-covered dress.

Gwendoline Christie, 46, showcased her long blonde hair over a dramatic black gown with a distressed cape.

Naomi Ackie, 33, and Annabelle Wallis, 40, both chose metallic ensembles, while host David stood out in a black suit adorned with pink and gold detailing on the lapel, and Joe Alwyn, 34, wore a chocolate brown suit.
