A 19 and 21 year old are due in court - after three people were injured in a dramatic West Auckland shoplifting getaway

A 19 and 21 year old are due in court - after three people were injured in a dramatic West Auckland shoplifting getaway

Police say a 21-year-old woman took items from the Lincoln Road Woolworths three weeks ago - and got into a waiting vehicle in the carpark.

The getaway driver crashed into a vehicle with two people inside, stealing a handbag off one.

A member of the public intervened - and all three were injured before the driver sped away.

A man and woman will appear in Waitakere District Court next week.
