    The five New Zealand franchises have chosen a character from the Marvel Universe to represent them on jerseys this weekend.

    Chief executive Jack Mesley says exposing the sport to wider audiences runs in conjunction with work to improve the game.



    For the record, the Highlanders picked the Hulk, the Chiefs opted for Black Panther, the Crusaders chose Iron Man, the Hurricanes selected Captain America, and the Blues went for Spider-Man.
