The record-breaking New Zealand contingent at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in China has been inspired by a history-making performance back home

The record-breaking New Zealand contingent at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in China has been inspired by a history-making performance back home

Olympic and World Indoor high jump champion Hamish Kerr says 15-year-old Sam Ruthe's effort ... to become the youngest-ever person to run a four-minute mile ... was cheered on by the largest group of Kiwis to ever compete at the indoor champs.

It's understood New Zealand Cricket has threatened legal action against the local players' association in a stoush over player image rights.

The ruling body has allegedly marked out the long run in a beef over whether the players can only be marketed under the NZ Cricket banner.

Indian Panthers basketball boss Parveen Batish is adamant the resignation of coach Miles Pearce has nothing to do with their struggle to get players into the country.
