The weather is cooling down, which means it's time for soups, pies and pasta.

Here are 10 of your favourite recipes for autumn.

A classic minestrone is hearty and affordable. This version, from Julia Busuttil Nishimura, is vegetarian and feeds six.

Nourish yourself with a big bowl of chicken soup with chunky-cut vegetables and noodles. Carrots, leek and parsnips add flavour and bulk to this soup that feeds six to eight.

Shorabat Adas is a delicious soup made from a few pantry essentials. It's a gentle and filling meal that's ready in 30 minutes.

Made with mostly tinned ingredients, this recipe is all about the convenience and economy. Serve with sour cream, cheese, avocado and lime wedges.

Hetty Lui McKinnon puts a vegetarian spin on shepherd's pie, which is filled with cauliflower and pea curry and topped with fluffy mashed potato. Tinned tomatoes and cannellini beans make it extra satisfying.

Comfort food can still be quick and this recipe involves just 10 minutes of prep. The chicken is coated in a zaatar, lemon and garlic marinade before it's seared and finished in the oven. Serve with rice and veggies.

Baked salmon with a pistachio crumb and roast vegetables is an easy dinner for special occasions. The salmon is brushed with a honey and dijon mustard dressing, before it's sprinkled with pistachio crumb and baked.

Lentils replace mince in this affordable, vegetarian version of classic bolognese. It serves up to six and is perfect for freezing.

Mujadara roz is another easy dinner made with pantry ingredients. Lentils and rice cook in the same pot, with caramelised onion adding sweetness and flavour. Serve with yoghurt and salad.

Grab some puff pastry and make this cosy chicken pot pie. It's creamy and buttery, with a healthy dose of vegetables. It can be prepped ahead of time and stored in the fridge or freezer before baking.
