After 172 innings - a Black Caps bowler finally has a first-class century with the bat

Leg-spinner Ish Sodhi's made an unbeaten 108 as Canterbury racked up 501 for 7 declared on day two of their Plunket Shield match against Otago in Dunedin.

Sodhi shared in a 204-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Sean Davey - who also made his maiden first-class ton, finishing on 101 not out.

Black Caps batter Tim Robinson's the other to reach three figures today.

He's 105 not out for Wellington against Central Districts, who are 218 for 3 with the players off the field again at a rainy Basin Reserve.

Kane Williamson's been dismissed for just 17 for Northern Districts in their first innings against Auckland in Mt Maunganui.
