    Police are hailing victims - who came forward after a series of sexual assaults by a former Wellington GP


    Jared Cook has been sentenced to 10 months home detention.

    He pleaded guilty to charges of indecent acts on boys aged 12 to 16, making intimate visual recordings, and possessing objectionable material.

    The former Kapiti doctor was found to have inappropriately touched teenage boys at his home, after befriending their families over six-years.

    Police say they can't overstate the strength of the the victims who came forward to make sure the offender was held to account.
