A mixed bag for Kiwi businesses to start December

Latest figures from Worldline shows spending through core retail merchants in the first two weeks of this month, was down 0.3 percent on last year.

Core retail is down almost six percent, but a rebound is expected around Boxing Day.

Hospitality NZ's Sam MacKinnon says the sector doesn't have a single "make-or-break" day.
