The England cricket team's midnight curfew has had an immediate impact

The England cricket team's midnight curfew has had an immediate impact

The Brendon McCullum-coached side have beaten Sri Lanka by 53 runs to take the ODI series 2-1 at Colombo.

Harry Brook and Joe Root both scored unbeaten centuries.

Brook marked his triumph by imitating a WWE wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin by pretending to smash two beers together before drinking them.

Root hopes the incident has been received in good humour after the skipper's late-night drinking scandal in New Zealand from November when he was clonked by a human bouncer ahead of an ODI.

The two countries will now play three T20s in the lead-up to the World Cup, starting February 7.
