Another police watchdog report finds Jevon McSkimming breached policy

Another police watchdog report finds Jevon McSkimming breached policy - inviting the woman he was having an affair with to join him in taxpayer-funded accommodation

In December the former Deputy Police Commissioner was sentenced to nine months home detention for possessing questionable material.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority also found McSkimming invited Ms Z to stay with him in Wellington hotels 10 times.

The accommodation was provide to avoid the 60-kilometre drive home after late appointments or for early flights.

The IPCA says, had McSkimming informed his manager the woman was staying with him, it likely wouldn't have been approved.
