Andy Maloney has something to soften the blow if he again misses out on an Olympic sailing berth

Andy Maloney has something to soften the blow if he again misses out on an Olympic sailing berth

    2 August 2018

He's vying with Team New Zealand crew-mate Josh Junior for the one Kiwi boat
in the Finn class at Tokyo 2020, having missed out to eventual bronze medallist
Sam Meech in the Laser class in 2016.

Maloney says it'll be easier for whoever misses out this time as they'll go
straight back into the America's Cup defence.

He says as hard as it'll be for whoever misses out they'll back the other and
go into some other fun sailing with Team New Zealand.

Andy Maloney and Josh Junior are amongst the first Kiwis in action at the
world sailing championships in Denmark, with the Finn class one of three fleets
    that start tonight.
