    Monday : Northwest 15 knots, changing southerly 25 knots south of Poverty Bay in the evening and then everywhere overnight.
    Sea becoming rough.
    Long period southerly swell 2 metres, easing.
    Easterly swell 1 metre.
    Poor visibility in developing showers south of Poverty Bay.
    Possible thunderstorms.
    Tuesday : Southerly 20 knots, rising to 30 knots about East Cape in the morning.
    Easing to southeast 10 knots in the south in the evening.
    Sea becoming rough about East Cape.
    Long period southerly swell rising to 2 metres.
    Easterly swell 1 metre.
    Poor visibility in rain, clearing south of Poverty Bay in the morning and elsewhere early evening.

    Outlook following 3 days:
    Wednesday: Southerly 15 knots.
    Moderate southerly swell.
    Thursday: Southerly 20 knots, rising to 30 knots south of Mahia Peninsula early.
    Becoming southerly 30 knots everywhere later.
    Sea becoming rough.
    Heavy southerly swell.
    Friday: Southerly 30 knots.
    Sea rough.
    Heavy southerly swell, easing.
