Mount Maunganui, located in the centre of the Bay of Plenty, has long been recognised as New Zealand's oceanic paradise. A popular holiday and retirement haven, people are drawn here for the relaxing lifestyle, and magnificent year round climate. Temperatures are generally between 25 and 28 degrees in summer, usually in the high teens through winter and seldom below 11 degrees.
