Investigations continue after a person was found dead after a house fire in Pukekohe, on Auckland's southern fringe

Emergency services were called to Victoria Street around 6 last night.

Twenty-two firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, before fire investigators began looking into the fire.

Police say they're working alongside Fire and Emergency to establish both the cause of the fire, and the cause of the person's death.
