    Police have made a series of arrests over offending across Northland


    Detective Senior Sergeant John Clayton says they've been investigating a spate of interference with vehicles, and thefts of vehicles and their contents.

    Two men, aged 26 and 47 are before the Whangarei District Court on charges relating to vehicle crime in Omapere and Opononi.

    The 26-year old is also charged with the aggravated robbery of a tourist.

    Meanwhile, police have made a second arrest over an attack on Mangakahia Road, in Titoki last week.

    The man is being jointly charged with assault with a weapon
