Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms clearing tonight. Mainly fine apart from isolated afternoon showers tomorrow.
Horowhenua to Wellington, Wairarapa, also Marlborough
Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers, turning to rain for a time this afternoon and evening with thunderstorms possible. Showers clearing to fine tomorrow afternoon.
Nelson, also Buller to Westland
Showers becoming isolated tomorrow.
Canterbury
Rain with snow to low levels, heavy in parts of the high country and about Banks Peninsula. Easing to isolated showers this afternoon then clearing and becoming fine tomorrow afternoon.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Scattered showers retreating to Fiordland and Stewart Island tomorrow afternoon. Snow to about 200 metres, rising to 400 metres this afternoon then clearing early tomorrow.
