    Mainly fine. Isolated afternoon showers today and tomorrow, as well as some early morning cloud about the terrain.

    WINDS
    Westerlies, strong in the south.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    Above 3000 metres.


    south island



    Mt Aspiring National Parks and Fiordland National Park
    Cloudy periods with occasional rain.

    Mt Cook National Park
    Cloudy periods, with a few spots of rain developing tomorrow morning.

    Arthur's Pass to Kahurangi National Park, also Mt. Richmond and Kaikoura Forest Parks
    Fine, with high cloud from tomorrow afternoon.

    WINDS
    Northwesterlies, strong at times in exposed places.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    3300 metres sloping to 2300 metres in the south.
