    Mostly cloudy with a few showers. Heavier and more widespread from tomorrow afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Downpours and hail possible about the Canterbury High Country from tomorrow evening.

    Mt Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks
    Cloudy periods with occasional showers, possibly heavy, mainly in the afternoons. Thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening.

    WINDS
    Westerlies, turning southerly tomorrow afternoon and evening, gale about Fiordland.
