    Mainly fine, with high cloud increasing.

    Light, becoming northwesterlies tomorrow morning, rising to gale in exposed places from the afternoon.

    2000 metres, sloping 1600 metres in the west at first, rising to 2500 metres everywhere tomorrow afternoon.

    Kahurangi National Park to Mt Richmond Forest Park
    Fine. High cloud increasing tomorrow morning, then rain developing in the evening.

    Fiordland National Park
    Showers, clearing tomorrow evening but remaining cloudy.

    Remaining South Island mountain areas
    Fine, with high cloud increasing from the north from tomorrow morning.

    WINDS
    Light winds but northwesterlies about Fiordland, spreading elsewhere in the afternoon, rising to gale north of Arthur's Pass at night.

    2300 metres sloping to 1500 metres in the south.
