    Raukumara to Kaweka Ranges
    Mainly fine. Isolated showers this evening, and areas of low cloud tomorrow
    morning.

    Remaining North Island mountain areas
    Mainly fine today, isolated evening showers. Cloudy tomorrow, with patchy
    drizzle.

    WINDS
    Mostly light. Northwesterlies developing tomorrow morning, rising to gale about
    the Tararua Range in the afternoon.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    About 3000 metres.


    south island



    Kaikoura Ranges
    Isolated showers this afternoon and evening, then becoming mainly fine tonight.

    North of Arthur's Pass
    Mostly cloudy. Scattered rain developing in the west this evening, spreading
    everywhere tomorrow morning.

    Remaining South Island areas
    Isolated showers turning to rain tonight, becoming heavy tomorrow afternoon.
    Snow to 2100 metres tomorrow.

    WINDS
    Strong westerlies, but gale south of Arthur's Pass. Becoming gale but severe
    gale in the south tomorrow morning.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    3000 metres, lowering to 2500 metres in the south tomorrow afternoon.
