    Partly cloudy. A shower or two this afternoon, then a few showers tomorrow morning and afternoon.

    Remaining North Island mountain areas
    Fine with a few clouds.

    WINDS
    West to southwesterlies, strong at times about Egmont National Park.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    1800 metres in the west sloping to 1400 metres in the east, rising to 2200 metres everywhere this afternoon.

    All South Island mountain areas, except Fiordland :
    Mainly fine. Areas of cloud and isolated showers developing west of the Main Divide this afternoon, including Paparoa and Kahurangi National Parks.

    Fiordland
    Mostly cloudy. Showers, becoming isolated for a time tomorrow morning and afternoon.

    WINDS
    West to southwesterlies, strong in exposed parts of Fiordland and Kahurangi National Parks.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    2000 metres, lowering to 1700 metres in the south and west for a time tonight through tomorrow morning.
