    Cloudy in the west with drizzle. Mainly fine in the east.

    Remaining North Island mountain areas
    Mainly fine today. Cloud increasing tomorrow.

    Northwesterlies.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    About 2400 metres.


    south island



    Kaikoura ranges
    High cloud at times.

    Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks
    Mostly cloudy, with isolated light showers.

    Southern Alps and Fiordland
    Areas of rain with snow to about 1400 metres, clearing from Fiordland tomorrow.

    WINDS
    Northwesterlies, strong about Fiordland.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    About 1800 metres.
