Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
Periods of rain or showers, some heavy and possibly thundery. Localised downpours possible about Northland and northern Auckland this evening and overnight.
Waikato to Taumarunui, including Bay of Plenty and Taupo
A few spots of rain developing today, becoming widespread tomorrow with possibly heavy falls about Bay of Plenty.
Taranaki to Wellington, including Taihape
Partly cloudy, with the odd shower about Wellington. Occasional rain developing north of Manawatu tomorrow.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Mostly cloudy. Areas of rain in Gisborne and Hawke's Bay, with a few showers elsewhere.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Areas of cloud, mainly in the mornings and evenings. The chance of a shower north of Christchurch.
Remainder of the South Island
Fine, apart from areas of morning and evening cloud.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy at times, with isolated light showers tomorrow.
