Waikato's Regional Harbourmaster is urging skippers to know their limits, after a three-person emergency in Raglan

    25 May 2025
Three fishermen were rescued this morning in moderate to minor conditions, and says that their vessel flipped in large waves.

The incident, currently under investigation, triggered assistance from multiple emergency services.

Chris Bredenbeck says amateurs must be extra cautious about their capabilities.

Mr Bredenbeck says with more people starting to fish in the area, they must understand the conditions and risks they're exposed to..
