    The Reserve Bank's welcoming changes to improve competition

    13 November 2025
    The Government's today confirmed its accepted or partially accepted all recommendations from Parliament's probe into banking.

    The central bank's ongoing work includes a review of capital settings, and consultation on who can use the term "bank".

    Acting Assistant Governor of Financial Stability Angus McGregor says the bank will also provide more-regular progress updates on how it's assisting competition.
