    A group of Special Olympians is the latest to test Christchurch's new Parakiore metro sports centre - ahead of its official opening

    21 November 2025
    Christchurch City Council's expecting to announce a public opening date next week - with the potential it won't be until after December's Special Olympics.

    Events director Liz Fitzgerald says it has the athletes' approval.
