    Inflation has remain unchanged

    Inflation has remain unchanged

    22 January 2025
Latest Stats NZ figures show the inflation rate for the year to December was 2.2 percent -- compared to September's 2.2 percent.

Inflation is well down on the once-in-a-generation high of 7.3 percent, of just two and a half years ago.

But it's higher than the 1.5 percent recorded less than three years ago.

Inflation's expected to rise a bit this year, due to rising oil prices and the falling Kiwi dollar.
