A shot across the bow for petrol companies - with no relief at the pump, despite falling global oil prices

A shot across the bow for petrol companies - with no relief at the pump, despite falling global oil prices

    23 December 2025
The AA says we're seeing the rocket and feather effect - where prices fly up when production costs increase but are slow to fall when costs reduce.

Principal advisor Terry Collins says international oil prices have dropped in recent months.

He says oil companies shouldn't be Christmas Grinches.

Collins says it's not just about discounting certain service stations where there's lots of competition, but rather all the places people could spend their time over the holidays.
