    Some good news on the horizon for cattle and sheep farmers

    That's according to analysis within Rabobank's Global Animal Protein Outlook for 2026.

    The report shows New Zealand's red meat supply is poised for a measured, slow recovery - with beef head count forecast to rise by around three percent in 2026.

    Global Demand globally for New Zealand red meat should remain strong next year, and prices for both beef and sheepmeat are expected to remain steady and above the five-year average.
