A front followed by southerlies moves up the east of the South Island and the lower North Island tomorrow. Sunday, a cool showery southwest flow persists over the country. A high slowly builds across New Zealand from Monday, blanketing the country by the end of Tuesday. A northwest flow strengthens over the lower South Island late on Wednesday. Forecast for The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head * Strong wind advisory in force * Friday: Westerly 15 knots, rising to 20 knots in the afternoon, then to 25 knots gusting 35 knots in the evening.
