Saturday: Northwest 20 knots, easing to northerly 10 knots in the morning. Becoming westerly 20 knots in the evening. Moderate southwest swell easing. Sunday: Northwest 25 knots, easing to 15 knots late. Rough sea easing. Monday: Becoming northwest 30 knots but northerly 40 knots north of Kaikoura Peninsula early.
