    *GALE WARNING IN FORCE*

    Wednesday:
    Northwest 25 knots, rising to 35 knots south of Cape Terawhiti before dawn, then rising to 35 knots everywhere this morning. Sea becoming very rough. Southerly swell 1 metre developing.

    Thursday:
    Northwest rising to 40 knots before dawn, then rising to 50 knots for a time in the morning and afternoon. Sea becoming high for a time. Moderate northerly swell easing.

    Friday:
    Northwest 30 knots, easing to 20 knots early, rising to 30 knots later. Rough sea easing for a time.

    Saturday:
    Northwest 35 knots, easing to 25 knots early. Very rough sea easing.
