Easing to westerly 10 knots in the afternoon. Very rough sea easing. Westerly swell rising to 2 metres. Poor visibility in heavy rain, easing by afternoon. Wednesday: Westerly 10 knots, rising to 20 knots in the morning, then to northwest 30 knots south of Abut Head in the afternoon. Sea becoming rough in the south. Moderate westerly swell. Thursday: Becoming northwest 40 knots but 30 knots south of Abut Head early, easing to 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Moderate westerly swell. Friday: Northwest 20 knots, becoming northwest 10 knots but westerly 20 knots north of Cape Foulwind late. Westerly swell becoming heavy.
