    *GALE WARNING IN FORCE*

    Wednesday:
    Northwest 15 knots, but 25 knots south of Abut Head, rising to but 35 knots in the south this morning. Becoming northwest 35 knots but westerly 15 knots in the south this afternoon. Becoming westerly 15 knots south of Cape Foulwind in the evening. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Long period southwest swell 3 metres. Northwest swell rising to 4 metres. Poor visibility in rain. Possible morning thunderstorms south of Abut Head.

    Thursday:
    Westerly 20 knots but northwest 30 knots north of Cape Foulwind. Becoming westerly 30 knots everywhere in the morning. Sea becoming rough everywhere. Westerly swell becoming heavy.

    Friday:
    Southwest 30 knots, easing to westerly 10 knots early. Rough sea easing. Heavy westerly swell easing.

    Saturday:
    Northwest 10 knots, rising to northerly 25 knots early. Sea becoming rough. Moderate northwest swell.
