![]() Recreational Marine: Mana Marine Weather Situation and Forecast issued at 0434hrs Monday 01-Sep-2025 by MetService Situation: A couple of weak fronts move east across the South Island today, and another front approaches Fiordland from the southwest late in the day. Tomorrow a front moves northeast over the South Island and onto the lower North Island, followed by a ridge of high pressure. A ridge of high pressure moves onto the North Island on Wednesday. Meanwhile, northwesterlies strengthen over the South Island as a front approaches and moves north onto the country on Thursday. On Friday another front approaches the lower South Island and moves north bringing showery southwesterlies behind. Forecast for Inshore waters from Pukerua Bay to Makara Beach * Strong wind advisory in force * Monday: Variable 5 knots. Northwest 15 knots developing this morning, rising to northwest 25 knots gusting 35 knots late morning. Sea becoming rough late morning. Mainly fine. Northwest swell rising to 2 metres. Tuesday: Northwest 25 knots, turning southerly 20 knots in the afternoon. A few showers developing. Northwest swell 2 metres easing. Wednesday: Southeast 15 knots, turning northerly 10 knots early.
