North of East Cape: Long period southerly swell 2 metres. Northwest swell 3 metres, easing. South of East Cape: long period southwest swell 2 metres. Northerly swell 1 metre, easing. Tuesday: Westerly 25 knots, easing to northwest 15 knots south of East Cape in the morning. Becoming southwest 35 knots everywhere in the afternoon. Sea becoming very rough. Moderate southwest swell. Wednesday: Southwest 30 knots, easing to 20 knots early, then to variable 10 knots later. Rough sea easing. Moderate southwest swell, becoming moderate southerly swell north of East Cape, but heavy southerly swell elsewhere. Thursday: Northerly 10 knots, rising to northwest 20 knots early.
