Becoming southerly 25 knots everywhere early morning. Very rough sea in the east, easing. North of Mahia Peninsula: Northeast swell 3 metres, easing. Southwest swell 1 metre. Elsewhere: Northeast swell 3 metres offshore, easing. Southwest swell 1 metre. Poor visibility in morning rain. Outlook following 3 days: Sunday: Southerly 20 knots, becoming southeast 10 knots but 20 knots north of Mahia Peninsula in the afternoon. Moderate easterly swell. Monday: Becoming northeast 20 knots but southeast 20 knots north of Mahia Peninsula early. Moderate southeast swell. Tuesday: Easing to northerly 10 knots everywhere early, becoming northerly 15 knots but westerly 20 knots north of East Cape later. Moderate southeast swell.
