Sea becoming rough for a time. West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Southwest swell 1 metre. Northwest swell rising to 2 metres for a time. Elsewhere: Westerly swell 1 metre developing. Poor visibility in scattered rain. Thursday: Northerly 15 knots, rising to northwest 25 knots in the morning, easing to 15 knots in the evening. Sea becoming rough for a time.
