West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Southwest swell 4 metres, period 13 seconds, easing.
Elsewhere: Westerly swell 2 metres, period 13 seconds, easing.
Tuesday : Southwest 20 knots, but variable 10 knots in the east.
Becoming northwest 15 knots everywhere in the afternoon.
Moderate sea easing.
Southwest swell 2 metres in the west, period 12 seconds, easing.
Elsewhere: Westerly swell 1 metre, easing.
Outlook following 3 days:
Wednesday: Northwest rising to 25 knots morning, changing evening southwest 25 knots in the west and westerly 15 knots in the east.
Sea becoming rough.
Moderate southwest swell in the west easing.
Moderate westerly swell developing late in the east.
Thursday: Changing southeast 35 knots, easing to 25 knots late.
